Principle
FitsMyPool works without user accounts, without contact forms, without tracking and without advertising networks. Only what is technically necessary to deliver the pages is processed. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in so far as the service is directed at users in the EU, together with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) at the controller’s place of business.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by netcup GmbH, Karlsruhe (Germany); processing takes place on servers in Germany. When a page is requested, the server automatically processes the data the browser transmits: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer and user agent. These access logs serve operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest) and are deleted after 14 days at the latest. A data processing agreement is in place with the host.
Cookies
The site sets only technically necessary cookies: a session cookie and a cookie protecting against cross-site request forgery. Both are required for operation, contain no profile data and expire at the end of the session. There are no analytics, statistics or marketing cookies — and therefore no cookie banner.

In future the site may contain links to retailers (see Affiliate disclosure). Anyone following such a link leaves FitsMyPool; the privacy terms of the destination site apply there. FitsMyPool embeds no third-party content — no external fonts, scripts or tracking pixels.
Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you, and the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise these rights, write to the email address given above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
